What Can I take?

What can I take for a sore throat? My throat and ear are hurting me. I really don't want to go to the Dr. But, I think I will have no choice. Is there something I can take in the meantime?

When I had a sore throat I took chloraseptic (sp), gargled it and spit it out.

I was told to gargle with warm salt water. Tastes gross... but it worked and I felt so much better after.

Also stay away from any dairy... that makes it worse.

I was told to gargle with Apple Cidar Vinegar. It tastes disgusting but i was told it really worked and helped the infection from spreading. I have the same thing now but am afraid to use it b/c I do not want to throw up - i do enough of that with ms.

You can take tylenol as well.

My throat was killing me last night. I gargled w/listerine and took some tylenol.

I say use the Tylenol and Chloraseptic spray. That's what I used and it helped tremendously.

eta: I swallowed the Chloraseptic because it hurt going all the way down my throat. You should however call the doctor to check for a strep infection. That needs an antibiotic.

For my sore throat I took tylenol and sucked on Halls. Helped alot. Feel better, keep on eye on that sore throat if it doesn't feel better in a couple days call the dr for a strep test.
