What can I do for back pain?
This pain started yesterday afternoon -- its only in the middle of the right side of my back and comes around under my boob. I can't sit comfortable, I'm all hunched over and then that starts to bother me.
edited to add: Are PG women allowed to use those ThermaCare heating pads?

Re: What can I do for back pain?
I had horrible back pain around 22 weeks or so and used a heating pad,,,until my Dr. told me NO heating pads on the back or stomach. He said it is too close to the baby. I took 2 tylenol and that was really all I could do. Check with you dr. though as they all have their own opinions and recommendations.
Feel better.

Re: What can I do for back pain?
I am only 12 weeks, and I have excrutiating lower back, into my butt, then down my left leg pain. I brought a pillow to work today to sit on/prop against my back, but I am sitting here in agony.
I wish I could help you, but if you figure something out, let me know. Oh, I tried Tylenol this morning, didn't help.

Re: What can I do for back pain?
I get pain in my lower back while sitting too long. Using a back support pillow at work seems to help, as well as getting up and walking around frequently. Sitting up straight and not crossing my legs seems to help also.
I'm not sure you are experiencing the same kind of pain, but just wanted to mention what is helping me.

Re: What can I do for back pain?
Chiropractic helps.
Complaining helps me!
I prefer a soft mattress now, whereas in the past I have always liked a very firm mattress. So, I sometimes move to the couch to lie down or I put fluffy pillows under me. The pregnancy pillows (snoogle and back and belly pillow) were not a big help for me but other people love them.

Re: What can I do for back pain?
I have found some pregnancy stretches to do that help alleviate some pressure on your back. I do them in the mornings, and they seem to help a bit.

Re: What can I do for back pain?
My docs told me I could take extra strength Tylenol rapid release gels, they do help. Up to 4 a day I think. Sorry I don't have much more to tell. The pillows under your butt do help (they look like hemorrhoid pillows) and getting up frequently/not sitting too long helps also. Feel better.

Re: What can I do for back pain?
My doc told me to use a heating pad or the thermacare patches. I have really bad sciatica. I would call your doctor.
