What age..
Did your DC (or what age will your DC) start milk?
It seems like all of my friends Dr.s had them introduce it @ 10 months...
When I asked my DR- he didnt give me a straight answer-
He just said a little before his 1st b-day- we'll talk about it then... Im thinking every baby is different- and maybe he'll just tell me when he thinks DS is ready??
Is it bad to start early than 1 yr?

I don't really know......
But we had to take Katie to the er once and the baby in the same room was I think 9 months old and pooping blood. I heard the er doctors yelling at them for giving real milk- they said babies should not get milk before a year.

My ped. told me to start him at 11 1/2 months. By 1 year my son was completely on milk. I read somewhere that at too early an age babys cannot break down the enzymes in milk.

Yea- Im just confused- why some Drs start at 10 months- and others @ 12...????

Jared started at 11 months. The doctor told me (if I wanted to) to mix half formula/half milk in his bottle to get him used to it. I gave him all milk and he didn't have a problem.

I just took Katherine for her 9 month check-up last week, and my pediatrician didn't say anything about weaning to milk and I didn't think to ask. He also said he doesn't need to see her until "right after her 1st birthday," so I guess she'll be 1+ before she starts on milk.

13 months for both. I am still hesitant to give it to them & often wonder where I'd get the time to go to Trader Joe's for the organic hormone free milk.
