What a morning - update
So we had the Matern21 test done a while ago when we tested for DS
we were told the baby was a boy
So me being me, i chose invitations, started to reg etc.
So we went for week 20 sono, and the sono tech and doc came in and stated it was a girl. I then went on and told them about the blood etc, and she claims she then maybe sees a penis.
Seriously??? lol
so long story short back next week for another sono

That sounds strange. I would think that the blood test is definitive.

oh my goodness how bizarre!
i would think the bloodwork would be definitive - maybe the sono tech was just new??

I should add- that the sono girl could not see anything so she called in the Head Sono girl/Doc
she was not able to confirm anything either

That's so weird! I definitely think the blood test would be the definitive answer, but that's scary to be told a different sex!!

I am assuming it doesn't show the chromosomes like an amnio then?

From my understanding, when they say girl based on what they see on the sono, there is always a chance it could still be a boy and they just didn't see the boy parts. This happened to my GF who had an early anatomy scan around 16-17 weeks and was told girl, went back after 20 weeks and was confirmed boy, and she had a boy.
How far along are you? I'd wait until after 20 weeks and try to get another sono. We went at 20 weeks 1 day and saw definite "boy parts" as the sono tech put it.

Sono was done at north shore LiJ
We go back next Monday hopefully to see something, at that point I will be 21 weeks

The test is 99.4% accurate for a boy gender, according to the MaterniT21 website. I would say that is more accurate than the sono.
