West Islip North of Southern State
We are looking at a house in West Islip which has a great reputation but I was wondering if anyone know the area north of the southern state off of Udall Road.. Any pros and cons welcome...I am new to that area.

I grew up over there! On the west side of Udall in the section over by the firehouse 
The neighborhood over there is great - we knew (and my parents still know) all of our neighbors. My only recommendation would be to make sure that the house is at least a 3 or 4 houses in from Bay Shore Road. The traffic over there is HORRIBLE during rush hour and if you're the 1st or 2nd house in you might see a higher amounts of u-turns in your driveway, etc. & it always seems to me like the corner houses can't keep their fences up (people drive through them).
