My SIL was told at her ultrascreen it was likely a boy - and it was.

No, they were not able to tell me. From what I saw at this ultrascreen, I would've guessed that I was having another boy, but it turns out that I am having a girl.

i went for my mine at 13w 4 days and they couldn't tell me. I have to wait until 20 weeks which is next month.
do you think that they can tell you at the ultrascreen if it's a boy?

No, tech said it was way too early to even guess.
I have my Level II scheduled for Valentines day when I will be 20w1d and we will find out then.

My sister found out it was a boy at her ultrascreen. The tech said it was pretty obvious and that the baby is well-endowed. My BIL is very proud!
She's still waiting for confirmation before she buys any boy stuff though!

I just did some research online, because this is always debated. From what I read the sex organs are not done developing until the end of the 4th month, at the earliest. Boys develop faster than girls. So with that said I am sure the debate will continue.

I just had my ultrascreen today and the doc who performed it said he knew what I was having. I was  I had no idea they could tell so early. He assured me that he could tell. I told him not to tell me b/c we're not sure if we're going to find out at all and b/c my husband couldn't make it-my mom came with me instead. Now, however, it's really bothering me that someone else knows the gender of my baby and I don't.

I didn't find out until the 24 week checkup. She was in a bad position the for my Level 2.

We were told at the ultrascreen and at every subsequent ultrasound since. At the last one, we were told it was 250% girl. I hope they are right!

I know someone who was told . She then had another ultrasound at 20 weeks and it was a !! The baby was born a few months back and was a .

Yes, we were told one was definitely a boy and 90% chance the other was a girl. They were right.

The tech took "an educated guess" and we didn't ask again at the Level II so I can't tell you yet if she was right or not. She did say that it was way too early and the boy and girl parts have not fully developed at 12 weeks.

My tech wouldn't even guess...she said that the boys scrotum and the girls labia look too much alike at 12 weeks and it's not worth the guess when we can find out for sure at the Level II.
