we're having some work done today...
And I can't wait to get home so I can see how it looks!
The carpenter is there to start on our base and crown moulding -- also to do a few other jobs for us (build us a window sill for a window that was walled in when we bought the house, reinforce our cabinet in the kitchen and FINALLY hang the microwave...)
I'm itching to get home to see how much he got done on day 1 and see how it looks!
It may be all done by tomorrow!

yay! Let me know how it comes out. I need a carpenter too.
I'll definitely take lots of pics when it's all done (and then again when it's all painted!) 
I'm wondering if he'll also hang our microwave today. You have no idea how excited I'd be to come home to our microwave hanging up. I think I'd make like 40 bags of popcorn to make up for lost time. 
Once we get the molding painted and everything, I'll post the before and after pics of our house -- and it's transformation from the 1960s/70s crazy house to the slightly less crazy and hopefully more modern house.

I'm even more excited now...
DH just spoke to the carpenter. Our microwave is up and the moulding on the first floor is almost totally done! (Base and crown!)
They just have to do the stairs and the two rooms upstairs tomorrow.
OMG, my microwave is finally hanging up. Two months (and 26 headaches) later, it's finally up!
Watch out Orville Redenbacher, here I come!!

If you dont mind me asking, how much is he charging you to put up the crown molding? Did you buy the materials and than hire him to install or did he do both?
