We're back from PA (with pics)
We're back from our trip to Pennsylvania! It was awesome!!
We stayed at Bird-in-Hand Family Inn and I highly recommend it! It had 2 indoor pools, 1 outdoor pool, 1 great restaurant, mini-golf, tennis/basketball courts, petting zoo, duck pond, 5 minutes from Dutch Wonderland. Very nice hotel.
Dutch Wonderland was AWESOME!!! My 4.5 year old is USUALLY afraid of rides, but he went on EVERY ride at the park. It was a good sized park- can do the whole thing in a day, great for kids up to about 8 years old I guess, clean and adorable. The water park (Duke's Lagoon) wasn't as great. Just a bunch of sprinklers and slides. But overall, great park.
We also went to the Strasburg Railroad (adorable...took a 40 minute ride on the steam powered train); went to a pretzel factory in Intercourse, PA; took a horse and buggy ride; outlet shopping (YAY)!!

It looks like everyone had a nice time. I remember going there when I was a kid. I can't wait til DS is old enough to start taking him to fun places.

Well, the directions from rand mcnally (I believe) said 3.5 hours. It was more like 4.5 with 1 quick pit stop. Traffic was a b*tch both ways (damn Belt parkway). And the stretch on the NJP felt like forever!!! But once you get to that little quaint and peaceful town, you kinda forget...until you have to drive home again!
