Well....day 2...UPDATE -- DAY 3!!!!!!!!
And as far as I know Emily hasn't had a pacifier in 2 days..
Hopefully noone is sneaking it to her when I'm at work 
But she went to sleep again tonight with NO problems and slept through the night completely last night.
I am proud of her and even though my mom freaks me out saying that it's too early -- I am glad that we did it! She is a year old and so I think she was ready since it's going smoothly!

I think that is great. I see it with my neiece and nephew and they were very attached to them and hard to get ride of.

Wait until she sees other kids with pacifiers. I remember holding my breath when Joseph saw a picture of him with one.

COLD turkey! I put it in my pocketbook so that it's not even around for her to see....but if we are in the car and she freaks out I could give it to her --- but we haven't had to go that route..
Barbara --- I could only imagine what she'll do if she sees them. This is the only reason why I wish she was a bit older --- so I can explain to her that they are for babies.
My babysitter's daughter will be 4 in Jan and as far as I know her daughter still uses them --- and the other babies at daycare -- so I am nervous about what happens when she is there --- but ... she is sleeping here without them so she must be doing OK with it! I hate never REALLY knowing what happens at daycare.

I know that a few weeks ago the babysitter went out and bought her one because we would sometimes forget to send one over for her.

Yay! Emily!!!!
We also stopped using paci's at a year, he only used them for sleeping. It never phased him a bit when he saw other kids with them, hopefully Emily will feel the same way!
