Well, that's it...

I got AF today, so we're moving upwards and onwards to IUI for next month.

I'm disappointed and sad, but also excited for the IUI at the same time.

I have two more questions too - for the IUI, do they do it only once in a cycle, or is the protocol to do it twice?

And what if you ovulate during the weekend (which I usually do) - do most of these RE offices make an accomodation for that?

Re: Well, that's it...

Sorry about AF Chat Icon

It depends on your RE regarding how many IUIs they'll do - mine usually does one but others do back to back. My doctor also tells us to BD as much as we can after the first IUI - maybe with your mean mucus it might be better to do back to back IUIs? If you want it, just ask.

My RE's office is open on the weekends for IUIs. I'm sure they know that you'll be ready when you're ready, weekend or not, and will accomodate you.

Good luck Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

My RE always did back to back IUI's just to play it safe.

more and more are doing back to back, especially if there is a MF issue. And all REs have weekend hours.

good luck

Re: Well, that's it...

like the other posters said it really depends on your RE. I have had both back to back and single iui's from the same RE. so it can also depend on your cycle and protocol. good luck. they are really a breeze. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I haven't done IUI yet, but every RE should be open on the weekends. If yours isn't find a new one! Good luck!!

Re: Well, that's it...

The month we were successful with IUI and our BFP - we did 5 consecutive IUI's in 5 days. I had gotten the shot but still hadn't ovulated so NSUH had me come in each day until they confirmed that I did actually ovulate.

Lots of luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Wait, so did you have to actually pay for 5 separate IUI's in one month??
