well here i am..

i think i went through a denial phase for a while thinking, hoping, praying that this can and WILL happen naturally. but i think im finally ok with that not being my reality.

add me to team PCOS. blehhh

i have been off BC for over a year now and my cycles have been anywhere from 40-65 days. i got a referral from my obgyn to see a RE. after a bunch of blood work and sonograms we found that my thyroid is underactive and my prolactin levels arent what they should be.
one of my ovaries measures half the size of the other both of which are completely covered in cysts. he said my ovaries look like brains.

i have another blood test scheduled to look into my thyroid and after i go for that test i can start taking thyroid meds.

next cycle (who knows how long until that is) i am starting clomid.

i have never gotten a :) on an OPK and i have been using them for 5 cycles.

i think writing this all down makes me feel ok with proceeding with clomid.

i know i could have much worse problems but like im sure all of you say, i never imagined this being me. but it is what it is i guess.

i think im out of the denial phase.

best of luck to you! hopefully with your doc's protocol you will end up with a BFP soon.

Well the good news is, by getting the help you need you are getting closer and closer to getting pregnant! Also what's so important to remember is that PCOS is a common issue and can be resolved relatively easily, if that's the only issue. It's scary at first for sure, but I have a feeling you will be a success story soon!
