Well, had my doctor's appointment today
After 3 months on Met with no success, she is referring me to an RE. She said she could prescribe me Clomid but that she would rather I go on it while under the care of the RE since the Clomid dries out CM they might want to go straight to IUI? Is this usually done?
She recommended Dr.Stelling and Dr. San Roman, I know I have read good things about them, so I will call tomorrow to schedule an appointment with them.
I am a little bummed that I have to move on to an RE, but on the other hand I guess it is good to be getting specialized care.

Don't be bummed - it is great that you will be getting the help you need!
I started on Clomid without IUI. It depends on your doctor and your DH's sperm analysis. Since my DH's was fine the doctor said IUI wasn't necessary, at least not right away. We could have chosen to do it though if we wanted.

Don't be bummed, it will just get you to your goal a little faster. RE was the best move I made. My doc did IUI with Clomid, but they are all different.

Moving on to an RE can be scary and empowering at the same time. Your regular GYN would like nothing more than to see you pregnant, but when they recognize that you need more precise interventions, the best thing they can do is to get you to someone to reach your goal that much faster. That is what a responsible Dr. does. I remember having that feeling that you have, but now I am grateful that my doctor (as well as many LIFers) referred me to my RE. I am that much closer!
