Well...

I went back to Dr. B today, and turns out a have a few follies left over and have to take this month off. This is after starting a cycle with Gonal-F...has this happened to anyone else?

In a way, I think it will be nice to take a break from all this and enjoy my time with Dh again, and hey you never know!

That's happened to me and a few others on the board Chat Icon

I remember the time I found out I had leftover follies, I went right to my car and started crying because I thought the month off was going to be soooo horrible. Turns out it actually went by pretty fast and it was nice to have a little break from the drugs.

It was actually the most normal I felt in a long time. I'm hoping my break now brings me a similar sanity.. so far so good..

Re: Well...

I actually asked for a break. We had started a cycle in November and it was not going as smoothly as the other 2. It was getting closer to the holidays, I was stressed, my DH was stressed and we just needed a break. It ended up being the best 3months. We took a much longer break then expected but I was refreshed and ready to start up again. I took all my meds put them in the spare 'babies' room-to-be and tried to get on with 'normal' life whatever that is. Anyway you never know what will happen on a break. Good Luck! Chat Icon

Yes it happened to me with just clomid. It's a pita but you get through it. I ended up getting my immune testing done so I had a plan for the next month. We still TTC that cycle on our own which obviously didn't work. He told us to BD the week of af b/c that follicle could pop. I had possitive opks for about 2 weeks. It was very confusing.

Re: Well...

Try your best to enjoy the break from doctor's appointments and meds. I was upset during my last forced break, but it was mentally good for me, and after this failed pregnancy, I am really looking forward to being on a break for a bit. Who knows....anything can happen!
