weird sleeping habits...so frustrating!
My ds has not gotten on a night sleep pattern yet (he's almost 5 months). I thought he was supposed to be by now - am I wrong? He went a very long time where he was sleeping 7-9 hours straight thru the night. Then he decided for 2 weeks to be up every 2 1/2 hours. The past 2 nights he slept for 12 1/2 hours without getting up once!!! (I'll take that every night! Lol) Ton ight he's up after 5. I don't get it. We've kept his routine the same and he always eats good before bed. Yet some nights need to feed every few hours and others not for 12 hours. Is this still normal to have no established sleep routine during the night? I read online they should by now. I went to bed for s while knowing exactly when he'd wake...now its so random!

Could he be teething? My son's sleep pattern always got wacky when he was teething.

Re: weird sleeping habits...so frustrating!
My DD's sleep habits changed with milestones---for example when she started sitting up on her own, crawling, walking, teething, etc. When her sleep habits changed I had to be really strict about sticking to our regular routine and also doing CIO to an extent...we never did full blow CIO but we were strict about putting her to bed sleepy but still awake and allowing her to fuss for a few minutes. Good Luck to you!
