weird question
if I have a bottle of vitamins that expire 1/07 can I still take them? Can pills go "bad" or are they less effective? What does the expiration date really indicate? It was an expensive bottle and I'd prefer to not have to replace them. TIA

They lose potency at by the expiration date. I'd toss them.

Honestly - I would probably take them
But if you want call the pharmacy and ask them for their 'Honest' opinion.

Of course they can hurt you, potentially. That's why there are exp dates. Some things lose potency when they expire & other things have a different effect all together. Vitamins are not the same as prescript meds but I still wouldn't take them

thanks everyone....I called vitamin world and the manager over there confirmed what you've all been saying. They will be less potent but they shouldn't be harmful
