Weird charge on my Amex from the DMV
on 2/8 I was charged $125 from the DMV on my card
it's the same card I use for easy pass and was in NJ that day for work
I tried calling the DMV- but I really don't have any info- so I just disputed it with Amex
has anyone else every gotten a weird charge like this
I would like to think if I did something wrong I would get a notice in the mail- not just a charge on credit card
at first I thought it was DMV charges for the new car- but it's not- those are also on there under my Husbands section of the bill

i don't know what the charge is- but usually ezpass charges show up as "ezpass", not the DMV

Sounds weird...
EZPass sends a notice of violation if it didn't read your tag right at the plaza - so that's not it.
By any chance, did you renew a registration and/or license by mail?

nope- I turned in plates for a car about a month ago- but I have never used my amex card at the DMV
and I have my normal ez pass charges - I use ez pass every day- and haven't had a problem
I'm glad I disputed it- but I would love to know what it is
