Re: weird ?
Im going to use the real words......this sounds terrible, but god forbid there were to be a situation where a child would have to describe someone doing something inappropriate to those areas, the child should know the real words for court/police documents

Re: weird ?
My daughter calls it her Dupey(do-p) I do not know how or why or when it started, or where the heck I got that word from. But she is aware of the real name, we just do not use it day to day.

Re: weird ?
We'll teach the real names, but I know DH, he's got a whole bunch of other names that will be used too. He thinks my "family names" for those parts are strange, but even my cousins use them too..."puffy" or "dinga donga". It's tradition!
On a side note, my step sister taught her kids to use the real names. They were up visiting and my nephew was playing with a neighbor kid. I guess in a game a ball wound up hitting him on the "dinga donga". He told my neighbor's mother that he got hurt there and used the real name. When I went to pick him up, the mother said, "John might have used a bad word...". I though it was so funny! What a conversation we had.

It sounds like the Polish word for your bottom (pronounced sort of like "do-pa"). I grew up with that one too.
