Weight loss selfies?
Do you post weight loss selfies/ photo comparison on social media? A friend of mine said I should do it (I sent her a side by side photo so far of my progress and it is noticeable) and my DH says it seems attention seeking, so just curious to see what others personal thoughts are on it.

Weight loss selfies?
On social media, no. I take them for my own use - to track progress that I can't see, but why would I want to post them on social media? Also, if you do post them on social media, put a watermark on it, because companies take those photos and will use them in advertising as progress pictures for their products.

I would never. I barely post any pictures of myself at all though.
Its just not my thing.
And yes, most I have seen have been to try to push the BS MLM diet plans, etc
I would look at it as attention seeking and fishing for likes.

Nope. I have no before pictures. I have no pictures now. The only pictures I have is anytime I get new pants I put them on top of my old pants and snap a pic so I can see how much smaller they are. I'll look at it sometimes when the body dysmorphia is strong.
I'm seeing a plastic surgeon in May for a consult for skin removal. One of my first thoughts was - ugh he is going to take photos of me.

i showed my before picture here... it's on one of my albums.
last month, i posted a "transformation tuesday" on the weight loss group i'm on.
i do plan to post a comparison picture when i reach my goal weight. according to my libra app, i should reach my goal weight around my birthday.
i don't have a large circle of people in my FB friends (most are family or life-long friends) and because i have struggled with my weight almost since birth, i will be very happy/proud to post a picture of me at my very heaviest next to a picture of me at my goal weight... it will have taken me almost 10 years exactly: July 2009 to May 2019.

I think if it motivates you, you should do it! My neighbor just posted his 25 lb loss on FB and he got a lot of love and encouragement! I didn’t see it as attention seeking, I saw it as he was proud of himself and he should be!

It's a personal choice. I wouldn't do it because I don't even like selfies. If it is too often or too many pictures shared, I would think it's attention seeking; but only once I wouldn't think anything about it, just someone wanting to share a great achievement.

I have never done it; but to be honest; I love seeing them. Why not post your accomplishments? Weight loss can be a very hard thing to do; and takes a lot of determination and a strong will to do so. It's not easy for everybody. And once that goal is met; its the best feeling in the world!
I say why not? Post those selfies!!! I always find they give inspiration! You have every right to show that off..........

I havne't don't it because I haven't changed in years
I see people do it and have no problems with it. I see it all the time on IG and started following some randoms to watch their progress. If you feel good about it. Do it! You have every right to show off your hard work.
If you want post it here 
ETS: I follow random people on I.G. because I've been so impressed with their weight loss journey. It's inspirational and sometimes motivating. I say sometimes because I can be pretty lazy
