As of 14 weeks I gained 4lbs and as of 18 I've gained 7lbs.

i gained the most within the first few months...i think i had gained about 20 or so pounds by 18 weeks maybe even more

none, i actually lost 10 pounds from morning sickness during the first tri. took me until about 18 weeks to gain it back.

At 15 weeks I was down about 8 lbs ... but had a serious stomach issue that I needed a colonoscopy for After that, I gained.

I think like 8 lbs from bloating but here I am at 38 weeks and I only gained 12 lbs total.

I gained 12 lbs. in the 1st trimester, which is more than is recommended, though I can't say I was eating a lot.
During the first part of the 2nd trimester, I gained very little, some weeks nothing at all. I caught up near the end and my weight is just about where it should be now. A few pounds over, but I'm not worried about it.
Everyone is different, especially in the first trimester, so don't worry about gaining too much or too little very much. Your doctor will tell you if something is wrong.

i agree - i think this is the best take home message. everyone has different patterns of weight gain. your body does what it needs to do. some people gain lots of weight in the first and second tris and then stop or even lose a little as the third tri progresses. others gain very little in the beginning and then pack on the pounds in the last few weeks. i fall into the latter category - gained only 12-13 pounds total in the 1st/2nd tris, but i am gaining an average of a pound a week in the third tri - my bean is GROWING!

I feel like I gained more, but I think the number is low because I had such tough morning sickness that when I was able to eat, a lot of the food came up..
