weight check
i know this is a strange questions, but does your OB check your weight at every appointment?
in my pregnancy "journal" from dd, i noticed that my dr never checked my weight...not even at my first appt. (I tracked it on my own just out of curiosity). this pregnancy, they have me on the scale at every appointment. im only 10 weeks (but due to some problems ive had 3 appts so far, heading for appt 4 this week). I admittedly starting this pregnancy overweight bc i havent lost all of DDs baby weight (shes 8 months old). i am thinking maybe that is why they weigh me at every appt? Part of me would like to ask them to stop weighing me
just curious about others experience
ETA - its the same ob practice as my previous pregnancy, but its a new physicians assistant that comes in and does the vitals before the doctor comes in, so my other thought is that she just doesnt know not to check weights at prenatal appointments

This is my second pregnancy and I for both I was weighed each time I had an appointment.

Yes - pee, weight. Every appointment. You can probably ask them to not tell you your weight and you can close your eyes on the scale if you aren't interested in seeing it.

That's what I did.
I would make them weigh me facing the other way.
I had NO desire to know my weight.
I just said- if there is an issue with my weight gain please let me know.
Other than that- no need to see that number.

On #4 and the first thing I do when I walk into the examination room is get on the scale...unprompted.
Then I go and give them my gift of pee.

Yes, every appointment. But the nurses don't personally weight me - there is a scale in the bathroom and they just ask me for my weight when I'm giving them my specimen cup.
