Weight and Movement
Does your weight have anything to do with feeling the baby move? Like feeling flutters?
What about seeing and feeling kicks from the outside? Like seeing belly movement and others feeling your baby?

Re: Weight and Movement
I *think* that plus-sized girls don't feel the baby move as early, and that super skinny girls feel the baby move earlier than average. It makes sense when you think about it - early on, baby is so teeny and movements are so gentle, it would be harder to feel through layers of fat.
I don't know how that affects seeing the belly move though. I know that I started off average-sized (Size 6 pre-preg) and DH couldn't feel anything from the outside until about 22w, and you couldn't see the belly move until weeks later than that.

Re: Weight and Movement
I was just wondering because there has been a lot of talk about feeling movements lately and one girl said it took her longer to feel because she was heavier. I didn't know if that was common and if that meant if you were thin or underweight you might feel movement earlier?
I'm on the small side, under 100lbs (but not for long! ) so I guess I'll see what happens. I heard that placenta placement can affect movement but I never heard about weight affecting it.
When my friend was pregnant I remember seeing the movement through her belly and I was shocked. She was very thin before pregnancy and she had a very tight round belly. When the baby moved you could really see it. It was freaky! I'll have to ask her if she remembers when that started.

Re: Weight and Movement
It definitely makes a difference. As a plus size girl, I didn't start feeling consistent movement until about 23-24 weeks. DH only felt kick last week for the first time (26 weeks). We've got a little more cushion for those kicks to penetrate through, so it definitely makes sense.
