Weighing in...

Does anyone else HATE getting weighed in at the dr? I swear, for 2 days before my appt, I always say, oh no, I have to get weighed in on Tuesday. Its soo funny...maybe its because I've been to Weight Watchers before...who knows!

My dr isnt strict. I only gained 29 with my son, and they NEVER said anything about weight...its just me...I am not concerned about gaining weight....I just hate having to go on the scale!!

Re: Weighing in...

From what I've heard I am not really gaining that much. Only 8 pounds in 6 months. But, I still hate getting on the scale. I am waiting for the big jump where I gain like 10 pounds in one month.

I am OK with my huge weight gain, but I do HATE getting weighed at dr. appointment because they always make the comments about how I gained too much Chat Icon

I hate it too. I agree it is a Weight Watcher thing. I dreaded the weekly meetings because of weigh-in. I was successful at WW but by the end of this year they will be welcoming me back with opened arms. Chat Icon

Not really. I haven't gained much, so it's not like I cringe at the thought of it. And besides, you're pregnant and weight gain is normal!!!Chat Icon

Re: Weighing in...

I don't hate it, but after last month's 6 lb gain, I am a little worried that I'm ballooning too fast and too early...

but I need to know, in order to avoid a giant amount of post-partum baby weight....

I had only gained 2lbs in 4 months but at my 5 month appt I gained an additional 13lbs! I am nervous now to get weighed in at the next appt.

Re: Weighing in...

I am actually concerned about me losing weight. I am 12 weeks now & I have lost about 9lbs since my first appt. So that is 9lbs in 2 months. I know weight loss is common in the 1st trimester due to morning sickness, but I have not had any morning sickness at all. My doctor does not seem to be worried, but I think that is because I was borderline overweight to begin with.

Re: Weighing in...

I hate getting weighed. In 5 1/2 months, I've gained about 14 pounds so far (about 7 of which were in the past month).

I hate that the nurse always weigh me before I pee in the cup (sorry TMI). Then some of the nurses take off 2 pounds for clothes, but others don't -- so it's never consistent.

I keep track on my scale at home. I don't even want to know what it says I've gained in their chart.
