Weekend getaway...
What is your favorite weekend getaway. This is my criteria:
Figure 2 or 3 nights.
With a 1 year old.
Less than $500.
No more than a 2 hour drive from Western Suffolk.

I was going to say Block Island -- it is less than two hours if you don't count the little ferry ride over to the Island. It is a nice place - lots of fun.
I have heard great things about Mystic, Connecticut.
What about just going out to Bridgehampton? We did this one year - stayed at the Enclave Inn which was very quaint, comfortable, clean, and reasonable compared to all the other hotels in the area. We went to the beach, did shopping, ate out at a nice place, etc.

What about Montauk or the North Fork? Depending on where you stay it can be reasonably priced
