Wedding Related Question
Mine was 15 months ago and I just used my new program to make a slideshow DVD with a lot of our proofs that I did not use in the album or get enlargements of. I was thinking of making one for my MIL since I never gave her an album or prints. (We are not too close but recently I think she expressd to my husband she wanted pics).
So for Christmas I was going to give her a couple of 5X7s and the slideshow. Corny? Nice? Too late?
After this long should I be over it...cuz I'm not I miss my wedding day!!!!!!!!
Be honest. When was YOUR wedding and are you over it?
ETA: She had already told us she can't exchange gifts this year for $$$$ reasons. So I just figured this would be like a token not so much a Christmas present.

Re: Wedding Related Question
I was married Aug. 31 of this year and no offense totally over it.
My sister is talking about getting married, and we just went to a wedding this weekend. Totally over it.
But those ideas are good, definitely give her some nice photos framed and the DVD is good too!

Re: Wedding Related Question
Considering my wedding was also 15 months ago, My DH and I don't have our album and haven't even aksed the parents about which pics they want in theirs I would say you are fine.
FYI--we both had end of the year weddings so Xmas was right after the wedding. You are perfect with giving wedding related things to the fam for years to come!

Go for it - you're not alone. I got married 14 months ago, and we're giving DH's grandma a wedding album for Christmas.

Re: Wedding Related Question
I think its a nice gift. I got married last May, so about 19 months ago and am totally over it. We finally hung up some of our pictures, but I don't ever really think about it anymore.

Re: Wedding Related Question
Our wedding was June of '06 and we're first giving our parents enlargements for christmas this year! And I made my grandparents a little album of our pro pics through shutterfly.
We did make them albums, but never gave them a nice enlargement. IMO, I don't think it's ever too late to give parents/grandparents pics of your wedding.

Re: Wedding Related Question
i also got married in June of 2006 and we are giving DH's mom and dad (separately bc they are divorced) parent albums for christmas. We're also giving them some enlargements. I know they will be thrilled to receive these regardless of the amt of time it's been since the wedding!
You're not alone. WHile I am over the planning part - I still love to look at our pics and video and remember our day!!

I think it would be really nice to do for her, but I'm not sure I'd give it to her as her only Christmas present...

Re: Wedding Related Question
Our wedding was 7 months ago..frankly I couldn't be more over it. So glad it's over. It was a wonderful day but I am so happy I don't fret over things like favors and place card holders anymore
We got enlarged family portraits for both sets of parents for Christmas this year.

Re: Wedding Related Question
I think its a really nice idea.
We've been married 50 months so obviously I'm over it by now, but to be honest I was so glad when it was over. Don't get me wrong it was one of the best days of my life, but I had so much more free time, less family cr@p, less stress, etc. when it was over.

then i think that's a perfect gift - it's the kind of gift that's thoughtful and meaningful, without rubbing in the fact that she can't exchange gifts this year - you can even give it to her a little early if you want so it's less of a christmas gift if you think that would help or be better for her.

Re: Wedding Related Question
I was married Aug. 06 and I do miss it a little but its taken up with the joy of being pregnant! Anyways----I think its totally appropriate to give your mil the pics. She did ask for some pics so I'm sure she would appreciate it.
