Weather-related Q from a relative mass transit newbie
How do trains usually do with ice? I ride Metro North but it seems like we're all getting ice. I am curious about what to expect tomorrow, rail commute-wise.
TIA.

I would expect major delays tomorrow if not suspended service at times. With north of the city getting hit the worse, I'm not sure if I'd venture in.

In all the years I have been commuting on the trains, I really can not recall a time where we had icy conditions like they are predicting with this storm.
You can use this website to check the current service status of trains/buses. MTA
I have always found the site to be reliable, however last week the website crashed during the snow storm & I had to just do a google search to find out the status of my previously suspended train.
