Weaning from BF and emotions?

Do you think weaning from BF has anything to do with your emotions? Meaning do you think it would make you more emotional and feel down? Like I posted yesterday about me feeling so burned out, depressed, etc. I thought part of it could be because I just weaned DD from BF the last 3 weeks. Not sure if it would and if it would 2-3 weeks after stopping BF? Just curious.... I'm sure PMS'ing doesn't help, lol.

I BF my DD until she was 3 and I was already pregnant with my DS by then so I was ready so not too emotional although I did get pangs and wondered if I was being mean

DS was weaned at 2 because I had to have a D&C so that was emotional by itself so again hard to tell if my emotions were due to weaning or my miscarriage.

I have heard from several moms thought that it is a very emotional time so you could very well be experiencing some fall out from weaning. I hope you feel better soon

Yes! My cousin didn't go through PPD until she stopped BFing.

I'm currently weaning DS (almost 22 mths) & have been an emotional hot mess lately.

Yes, I've heard a lot of women get the blues after weaning due to hormones.

I was not able to fully BF but I supplemented w pumping. The emotions after doing this for 6 months and stopping were horrendous. 2 months later I feel somewhat better.
