Weaning
I'm back to work in 3 weeks - I need to start weaning DS off the boob and on to a bottle 100% of the time.
I have no idea how to go about it

Has he ever taken a bottle? Even with pumped bm? I weaned DD by starting off only bfing 2x a day and the rest were bottles, then I started adding formula to the bm slowly. 1oz to 3 oz then half and half then 3/4 formula, then finally all formula. She did ok with all of it except the all formula bottle. It only lasted a couple of days that she would only drink until she wasn't starving. But now she is doing fine. Godd luck, hope this helps.

You have to start replacing feedings slowly so it is not traumatic to your body. You should not stop cold turkey because you can get mastitis.

I weaned by taking out the middle of they day feedings - only feeding am and pm. Then I took out the pm and only fed in the am. Then I dropped the last feeding . It wasn't hard for us at all. He was a year and he was ready....he LOVES his bottle. For me, I think my body was ready........

When you took the middle day feeding away did you pump instead?
I'm not sure yet if I will be able to pump at work
How long before my body stops producing milk - will I be able to tell?

You will be able to tell b/c the pain will be less and less each day that you skip that feeding.
