Weaning?
OK so I was down to pumping 2x/day. When I woke up and before bed. My milk supply was decerasing every couple of days. Anyway I decided I was done with pumping (Miranda will not latch and nurse anymore) so I haven't pumped at all today. I never get engorged or leak but I feel really full and a little sore I guess. Do I just wait it out and it will dry up or am I supposed to so something else besides just not pumping?

Re: Weaning?
You shouldn't cut cold turkey. You need to pump the excess off to avoid an infection. You may need to cut the time you do for a few days and then cut out one by one session.

Re: Weaning?
Someone suggested to me, I think it was Tracey, to cut down even on the number of minutes pumping too before completely stopping. The last few days I pumped 1X a day for like 5-10 minutes instead of the 20 I was doing,. I was full/semi-engorged one more time then they were deflated

Re: Weaning?
I got that a few times as I was weaning Alex... if you get a little sore and/or engorged, your body isn't ready to cut all sessions just yet. To relieve some of the pressure, pump for only a minute or two... eventually, within about a week, your body should get the hint and stop the supply altogether.
