We Survived Closing!!! (and a RAVE for Christine Braun, Realtor Extraordinaire)
 
We finally closed on our home!! Honestly, it was the most arduous journey DH and I have been on. We have previously bought and sold but nothing compared to this purchase. We encountered several CO obstacles, which the seller did not want to resolve, but eventually we were able to close.
I have to voice a rave for LIF vendor, Christine Braun of Century 21- Dallow. She was so patient and instrumental in helping us to buy our home. We searched week after week  for over 4 months. During this time she familiarized herself with our wants and needs and ultimately suggested we see a new listing from her office because she believed it met many of our needs, and she was RIGHT!!! This meant we were able to make an offer before the house was officially up on mlsli, thereby minimizing the possibility of someone outbidding us.
Additionally, she went above and beyond to walk us through the offer, contract signing and even help us overcome issues with the bank (due to CO's). Our bank (a big name bank) was requiring CO's that the seller was not willing to secure (deck, shed, accessory kitchen) so at the 11th hour, she put us in touch with Steve Simpson from US Mortgage Co and they were able to get us to closing in 2 weeks. Even when there were issues at the actual closing table (which was over 3 hours long), she and her office were critical in the resolution. She really was more than a realtor to us and we were so fortunate to have had her on our side during this convoluted process.
