We need a new toilet

Just wondering if anyone has ever just had a new toilet installed and about what it cost.

We got a price of $400 for the toilet, pipes, and labor and I just want to make sure that seems about right.

Are you just replacing an existing toilet? If there is no moving of drain pipes, it's a very simple process. I've replaced several toilets, and taken off existing ones and put the same one back (for tiling the floor, fixing a leak, etc).

The bulk of the cost should be the toilet. You can browse Home Depot or Lowes to get an idea of how much your toilet would cost. It takes me about half an hour or less to swap out a toilet, and I don't do it that often.
