We have to move

right after baby is born.. My landlords just told us we have to move out by June 1st, they have family that need to move in. IDK what we are going to do, we have a 3 bedroom now and its cheap, my son has 1 more year in HS and we have 2 dogs that Im NOT giving up. Please pray for us we find something that is suitable, good for the dogs and my son school wise.
If anyone knows of a place in West Nassau for rent 2/3 bedrooms, dogs allowed please let me know ASAP.

oh no!!! im sooo sorry christine!! last place we rented, the landlords did the same thing to us, but thankfully we were closing on our house... We ended up getting into so many fights with them bc the closing wasnt going as fast as they had hoped

you will find something... at least they gave you more than a months notice... try not to stress out the baby...where theres a will, theres a way

Sorry you are going through this. Definitely check out craigslist. My BIL and SIL went through something similar and they have 2 big dogs and found a great apt. Don't stress yourself.

Ugh - so sorry you have to go through this stress. I know what you're feeling - I am stressing about moving about a month before the baby arrives. I hate not knowing where we'll end up. Not to mention - packing and unpacking boxes at 8 months pregnant doesn't sound too appealing to me!!

OMG that really sucks, I have been there! In 2010 we were renting a house but it was expensive so we decided to rent a second floor apartment to save some money. We moved in in the middle of January and there were 3 girls living below us around 28 yrs old. We didn't think anything of it, 2 were teachers and one was in grad school but it sucked! They had loud parties every weekend, people puking in the street, people driving home drunk, the loud techno that made our floors vibrate. Ugh. The landlord said we were making it up and that there was nothing he could do. We also had a huge mold issue on our bathroom ceiling. It was a popcorn ceiling so it couldn't be wiped down, he said just to hold the spray bleach up and spray...um I'm pregnant I'm not doing that and how would that work any way. Then we got ants really, really bad. I'm talking they would cover the entire kitchen floor. And, the downstairs girls had the cable in their name, the cable was included in our rent. They didn't pay a few times and it got cut off. We paid our rent on time, the cable money was rolled into our rent so essentially we paid our half of the cable and got nothing. I was in grad school and had research to do and couldn't use the internet at no notice, just would come home and bam it was shut off. Landlord said, not his problem.
It was terrible. DH grew up in this town and was in the fire dept with the landlord. He thought he would be a stand up guy, but he was a scumbag landlord. The landlord told us he was tired of hearing us complain and we had to move out. I know he didn't have a legal leg to stand on to say that but I can't imagine what hell we'd go through if we stayed so at 8 months pregnant I had to move. It was stressful finding a place, we ended up renting another house even though we weren't saving anything monthly because I didn't want to take a chance on a 2 family again, and we had to pay a security deposit, first months rent and realtor fee all up front for the second time in 6 months. It was so expensive and stressful getting an entire home ready for a baby in one month but we made it happen with awesome family and friends.

I'll def be praying that you find something quick that fits all your needs and in the meantime, I'll keep my ears open for a place!

So sorry to hear that! Question for you....are you a month to month tenant or do you have a lease?? If you have a lease your landlord can't just put you out.
