We have a farm in our backyard....
The past few weeks we have found these animals in our backyard:
Rabbit with baby bunnies!
A GIANTTTT turtle
2 mating frogs
mice
egret (sp?)
Isn't this odd? We don't live in a rural area or anything. My mom seems to think their natural habitats are being ruined, and therefore, living with us!

Rabbit with baby bunnies
Raccoon
Possum
chipmunks
and the usual: squirrels, grackles, bluejays, cardinals, mockingbirds, woodpeckers

we have turtles, frogs & toads, snakes, racoons, gophers & wild turkeys
i have never seen a wild bunny here though

Wild turkeys? What town? My cousin lives in BayShore and she saw them recently and we all thought she was nuts until we saw the pictures.

We have them all over here in NJ...(wild turkeys) I saw a huge one on the side of the road on my way to work the other morning with her little babies following her.

we are in ridge, we are surrounded by state land & sometimes they come into the neighborhood, they are funny looking & not afraid of cars.

I have all of the above... Yeah first time I saw a flying wild turkey here in NJ I thought I was in the Wizard of Oz with the flying monkeys! They are scary looking.
The other night my cousin and I were sitting in my yard and we heard a weird animal sound - it sounded like a horse "whinny"....my DH said it was an owl but I don't know...what nocturnal birds make sounds like that? And it was doing it over and over. Do possums make noise?
