We are in contract!!

So I signed the contracts on my dad's house Wednesday. It's all going so fast even though he passed in October... I'm just not ready. It was so weird because when my lawyer called and said that they signed the contracts and I could come in and sign I was so happy because the house has a mortgage and we already used all the money in the estate making payments these past few months so we had to hurry and sell so that's a relief but at the same time, I felt like I was punched in the stomach because it's his home we are selling and this is real. What a crazy feeling.

Anyway, this is my first time doing all this. The lawyer said that all will go well as long as their mortgage goes good and that takes 8 weeks. How often does the mortgage fall through? I PRAY that they get this so we don't have to start from scratch.

Also, I might want to take a pair of blinds out of one of the rooms for my son's room, is this okay, am I allowed to do that or are they considered part of the house?

I'm glad you were able to sell the house. I know its really hard letting go of things like that but hopefully the next people that come in will treat it well and honor the home
