We are in construction hell...
Our construction started this morning and I am already dreading going home tonight.
The demo starts today with taking the kitchen ceiling down by 2 inches and they are removing the roof on that section of the house today too. We had to move everything from the rooms that will be effected over the weekend and now we are living in shanty-town, with matresses in the hallways and furniture stuffed in all the other rooms
I woke up this morning with a fever blister. It's not even 10 am and I feel like I need a stiff drink.

this is making me scaredddddd
we are waiting for our variances to come through, a full reconstruction job, and we are going to live in the basement while it is going on!!!!
The contractors are telling us that when they do the dormer and the extension we can live on the first floor like we are doing now. We dont have anything in the upstairs rooms. So when they take the roof off hopefully it wont affect us.

We're going to be doing the same thing in a few months - as soon as we get the town and DEC permits. Everyone tells me the same thing - it will all be worth it when it's done. You are one day closer to your home being finished!
