Waxing While Pregnant??
I don't normally wax but it's getting more and more difficult to shave the bikini line. Which leads me to my questions:
Does it hurt more to get waxed while pregnant?
Second, do you have to go to a place that specialized waxing for pregnant women?
Lastly, if you do get waxed where do you go?
TIA!

Re: Waxing While Pregnant??
I'm a regular waxer and go in NYC and took my BFF last week with me who is 26w pg to get her first wax...
My wax lady said she didn't want to to it bc she had never done it before bc it would hurt her more than usual..She even made the comment that my friend was both brave and silly for trying to do it not only pg but this far along in her pregnancy.

Re: Waxing While Pregnant??
The skin is definitely more sensitive but the pain is the same to me and very short. I waxed (Brazilian) through my first pregnancy and have with this one. I’ve always felt it was more painful to get a lip waxed then to have Brazilians done. I’m actually scheduled to see my waxer next week. She will be on vaca and by the time she comes back, I may have the baby. She is in Hickvsille. If you want info FM. She is great.

Re: Waxing While Pregnant??
I'm almost 37 weeks and I've waxed all through my pregnancy. I actually went for a wax yesterday. I have to say that I've been waxing for over 10 yrs now.. and waxing while pregnant IS painful. You're extremely sensitive down there. I started going to Bliss Spa for waxes while pregnant because their wax doesn't really hurt. My first trimester, I didn't feel a thing actually. I would walk out with a smile on my face. Yesterday.. it hurt. It felt like regular wax.. and I was in pain. For me, personally.. It's worth it though. I HATE shaving.. and I can't imagine shaving while pregnant.

Re: Waxing While Pregnant??
I did it at about 25 weeks b4 we went on vacation. Not fun at all! Haven't gone back since. Just winging it down there
I wouldn't go now if you never did. I have waxed b4 so I know it's not as bad pregnant. Wouldn't want my first time to be pregnant and even more sensitive. Plus, you can't take anything b4 the wax like you're supposed to

Re: Waxing While Pregnant??
I always get waxed, but have not gone since I've been pregnant. One waxer told my sister that you should not get waxed while in your third trimester. They will do it up until then, but I just decided not to get it done at all.

Re: Waxing While Pregnant??
I also get waxed - when I was pregnant with DS it was not more painful for me .... this pregnancy I am must be more sensitive because it definitely hurt!
My lady told me she doesn't do pregnant women unless she has been doing her wax before pregnancy.

Re: Waxing While Pregnant??
I started getting waxed due to pregnancy. I just got lazy and figured why the heck not? I got waxed twice (years ago) and it hurt like he!! so I never went back. I go to a different place this time and it is so much better.
What area are you looking for?
wow, just read the other responses. I have had such a different experience. It is a quick pain, but totally worth it. Quick meaning a few seconds in certain spots. I'm also doing a brazilian so that is usually where the ouch spots are.

I would never stop getting waxed lol I go to my same girl, it is a little bit more sensitive down there now that I'm pregnant which is normal.
