Re: wax or threading

i was totally traumatized by getting my eyebrows waxed!!! hurt like hell!

much prefer threading, as far as pain level. I like the way it comes out too...can't compare which lasts longer tho, since I only had waxing once. And she yelled at me not to scream. Chat Icon

I feel the opposite...threading KILLS me, I think it looks best but I usually just wax bc it is less painful.

Re: wax or threading

Threading!! My eyebrows are 10x better now that I thread them, ppl even compliment me on them (random I know) Its just a more precise way to shape them.

I have to say, I get brazilians, I gave birth, and threading STILL kills me but I just suck it up. Chat Icon

Re: wax or threading

Threading, I have been doing it for years so I am used to it...it is a little painful but I usually take a tylenol before going. I love how my eyebrows are shaped from threading. If you thread make sure you tell them to go fast and to push hard.

Re: wax or threading

I've tried both. Not only does threading hurt a lot but I also don't see any difference in terms of which one's better. So I just stick to waxing. Plus, the lady that was doing the threading at the place that I went to, had part of the thread in her mouth and the other part of it she was using to do the threading....Chat Icon I don't know if that is just her style or part of the technique used but I totallly got grossed out by it....Chat Icon I'll take the waxing with no saliva in it please! the part that goes into their mouth does not ever touch your skin. at least it's not supposed to.

i've found that the pain associated with threading varies by the individual that is actually doing the threading. some people hurt more than others, so if you had a painful experience maybe try someone else.

Re: wax or threading

IMO, you get a better shape from threading. But waxing is 1,2,3 and done.

I prefer waxing.

Threading! I will never wax again! I don't think threading hurts at all. Maybe I just got used to it over the years. I find that I have to go far less now that I thread than I did when I waxed. Much cleaner and neater!
