watches
If you could get one new watch, what would it be? Or, if you love yours, what watch do you have?
I am thinking about asking for a new watch for a milestone occasion. My current watch is nice but it's 4 years old and a bit beat up because I wear it every day.
I tend to prefer something more classic to trendy, and would want to wear it every day including to work in a professional setting.

I have a Hamilton watch which I wear daily. I also have a Tag Carrera that I wear daily but it's a little more dressier. Not sure what you are planning on spending.

Was also going to suggest the Tag Carrera line, but not sure how much you want to spend. (Or the Tag Aquaracer line)

I have this movado, I believe it's the 800 series and I love it. I wear it every day and beat it up like crazy, I swim with it, wear it to the beach, and it still looks brand new. I get so many compliments too.

Michele watches. The come in different size/shapes and you can change the bands. I just bought one from century 21 for a steal.

I bought a MK watch a few months ago but it was SO heavy on my hand that I sold it on eBay. My favorite watch of all time is Coach w/a leather & signature band. I've tried other watches, but always come back to it b/c its easy to read and very comfortable on my wrist. I know you prefer a metal bracelet, though, b/c I think thats the watch you're referring to in your orig post.

I would go with a Michele watch - they are timeless IMO.
I love my MK watch but its definately more trendy than a Michele watch.

Michele is defin a great brand, i have 3 of them.
I also have a fendi selleria watch and the leather straps are interchangeable and thats a really cool feature.
My favorite watch is the technomarine moonsun. They are hard to find but just gorgeous, i have the large in black, my friend has it it white.
I love the black ceramic for evening, its such a great dressy watch.
My friend has it in white, and its a great everyday watch too

When I went to look I felt the faces were too big too- I have a small wrist.
So I found one onilne that was exactly the same as the one I saw in Macy's- only a smalelr face.
It's perfect for my small wrist and not heavy at all. They don't sell it in stores though- at least not what i have seen.
I got it on Amazon.

Wow, thanks for all of the recs! That FENDI watch is gorgeous. I looked up everything and I think the Michele watches are most my style. A little more dressy and delicate and less chunky or sporty looking? There are so many different styles, it is making my head spin.
My current watch was under $250 but I am willing to spend more on this one, since it would be a gift for a special occasion and I would wear it every day. Maybe $2k or under, although $1000 or under would be awesome. Might be willing to go higher if it was amazing, although I'm not really a watch person so I dont have uber high standards
How easy is it to find them discounted? Who carries the best selection?
This is my current watch to give you an idea of what I like:
I came across this slightly different one while searching and do like it ... I guess my taste hasnt changed much... but I was hoping to find something a little more different lol. I do like round though I think

Thought of you b/c I found a watch in my jewelry box that I totally forgot about... its Citizen Eco Drive. Here's a pic I found online. Its prettier in person actually. I bought this on a cruise a few years ago - I think it was in the $400 range at the time. Image Attachment(s):
