Washington DC recommendations
We are thinking of going to DC in early June and are looking for recommendations for where to stay? Which part of the city is near everything?
Any other recommendations are always welcome too!
Thanks!

Re: Washington DC recommendations
If you want to go to the White House you need to email your Congressman. You can also get tickets for the Washington monument, and the Capitol. I would go to the zoo and the smithsonian and the Lincoln, Jefferson, and Fdr monuments.
Edit: The Marriott next to the Zoo, The Sheraton in Bethesda is next to the red line metro station. The Embassy Suites in Friendship Heights is also on the red line. I would stick to hotels on the red line. The metro is really easy to take. If not there are quite a few nice hotels in DC but they are $$$$. Georgetown is nice to visit too. I used to live in DC and my brother and his wife still live there, what are you looking to do?

Re: Washington DC recommendations
We were there over Easter weekend. We stayed at the Park Hyatt which was a beautiful hotel. Super easy to walk to Georgetown and all the monuments. I definitely recommend it!
Feel free to FM me for any other reccos.
