Washing clothes for new baby
Does everything have to be washed? Even the clothes or just the under clothes.
I'm confused!

Re: Washing clothes for new baby
I believe everything has to be washed. I know my MIL is knitting some sweaters for the baby and mentioned to her about caring for it. She said she'd wash it, but it is true the baby's skin really doesn't touch it. Rather be safe than sorry.

Re: Washing clothes for new baby
i broke this news to dave last night. you should've seen his face!
i'm going with EVERYTHING should be washed...my major concern is DRYING it....since most stuff will shrink....we'll need a newer, bigger drying rack!

Re: Washing clothes for new baby
yeah everything should be washed before you put it on the baby, but i wouldnt go out washing everything just yet because you dont know how big or small the baby will be and some things you may never even get to use and may be able to exchange them for bigger or smaller sizes.

Re: Washing clothes for new baby
My friend washed nothing..... everythign was fine with her dd.
I personally washed everything b4 she would wear it until about 7 months. After that i wouldnt bother with everything, just some under shirts/ onesies... i wouldnt wash jeans and the like b4 wear.
I did not use DREFT (EVER= such a waste of money!) And i dried on low in dryer.
