Washing clothes
Had my shower yesterday and it was amazing. Will make a post with pictures later.
We got soooo much stuff!!!!!! I love and need everything..Now just trying to organize everything, and make room for it!
Everyone keeps telling me keep the tags on everything, but I also want to wash some things.
1. So what did you do? Pick a couple newborn and 0-3 outfits to wash, and then leave the tags on the other?
2. Also, what did you wash with? I"m thinking Dreft or 7th Generation.
3. Did you hang it to dry or dry it in the machine?

Re: Washing clothes
I washed all the newborn and 0-3 stuff as well as the sheets, blankets, bibs, etc. I used Dreft. I followed the instructions on the clothing for drying which was on low setting. It took FOREVER. I think next time I'll just dry on normal heat.
ETA: I'm so I'm sure I got far less stuff than you did, clothing wise. If I had a ton of NB and 0-3, I may have only washed half of it at first.

Depends how often you want to do laundry. I washed pretty much everything newborn and 0-3. I am having two, so i need a lot. Depending on how much you rec'd. Not sue if you are buying newborn size? But i would only wash a few things, many babies skip that size totally. For 0-3, I would want at least 10 sleepers and onsies a few outfits, 10-15 bibs, 10-15 wash clothes, 3 towels, lots of socks and 6-7 receiving blankets.
2. Also, what did you wash with? I"m thinking Dreft or 7th Generation. I used Dreft, but i know most here choose any Free and Clear and its fine.

All Clothes - Dryer
Hand made blanket - hung dry
slipcovers for the swings, bouncers, car seats, bundle me, etc hung dry
I didn't wash anything above 3 months. I hung everything, so i can see what i have at a glance, hopefully by that time i will have a better idea of how much i need. (how many sleepers, outfits, socks etc for each age)

Re: Washing clothes
I washed all 0-3 months clothing. Also, I washed the bassinet sheets, play yard sheets, crib sheets, changing pad covers, towels, robs, receiving blankets, wash clothes, socks, mittens with Dreft and put everything in the dryer.

-I left all tags on most of everything and only washed a few Newborn and 2 0-3 outfits.
2. Also, what did you wash with? I"m thinking Dreft or 7th Generation.
-Dreft but any free and clear detergent is fine.
3. Did you hang it to dry or dry it in the machine?
