Washing baby clothes with Dreft, etc.
Just out of curiosity -- how long did/do you wash your baby's clothes with special detergent?

Re: Washing baby clothes with Dreft, etc.
DD had pretty bad eczema for the first 8 or 9 months so we were pretty careful with her stuff and washed it in All Free & Clear. We probably started throwing her laundry in with ours, with regular Tide, when she was around a year old.

Washing baby clothes with Dreft, etc.
I bought one of the large bottles of dreft and it lasted us till she was at least 7 months. MIL gave me a small bottle she had used once so we're using that up and then will go to all free and clear which is what I use for DH and I. I would be fine using the free and clear right from the start though.

I think at about 5-6 months I stopped.
Her clothes still get washed separately but I use our regular Tide.

I've watched all our clothes together since day 1 with free & clear detergents... we don't need the perfumes or dyes either.

I used All Free and Clear from the get go. DD is 4, still use the same thing for laundry just because I am use to using it, never bothered to switch back to anything else.

Re: Washing baby clothes with Dreft, etc.
DS is 3 and I still use it. I have always washed his clothes separately from ours and probably will continue that indefinitely. I had just started thinking that I'd stop the Dreft since my mega-bottle of it was almost done but with another on the way, I figured why bother. Plus, I like the way it smells.

Ds is 10 months and I never used dreft but I wash all of our clothes in free and clear. Also, I wash his new clothes before first use.

Most detergents don't score well. I honestly have stopped checking the ratings bc it seems like everything nowadays is bad. I decided that I had to draw the line somewhere.

I use all free and clear for everyone now. At 6 months when we went away I washed his clothes in regular detergent and he didn't have a reaction.

I try to use products that rate well but I'm not going insane over it either! ETA: my girls are 2.5 and 7 months and still use it.

All Free and Clear .. will probably stop using when she is 7 months old. Dreft is just way too expensive in my opinion.

I wash everything ... even all our stuff with method free and clear and oxyclean.
I do use tide on really grimy dish towels and cleaning rags.

We use all free and clear and plan to continue to use it for all of our clothes. I didn't realize dd was getting a little rash on her face it was from rubbing up against our clothes and sheets
