washer dryer hook up ?
I went to do laundry for the first time the other night and found that the machines werent actually hooked up correctly. I assume that I can have a plumber come and hook up the washer, but who can hook up and service a dryer? Would a plumber do that as well?

Re: washer dryer hook up ?
The tube connected to the washer was not installed properly. It leaks during the draining / spinning phase. If i try to tape it etc, it just backs up in our slop sink. Something is terribly wrong. The previous owner had this hooked up so im unsure of what they were doing!!

Re: washer dryer hook up ?
Gas dryer or electric? I'm assuming the power source is hooked up, so is it the exhaust vent you are asking about for the dryer?
A licensed plumber can usually do gas work, but not electrical.
If the connections are suspect, I would definitely look into the exhaust venting. It should be metal, not the plastic type, and it should exhaust outside as soon as possible (you really don't want to run the vent 50 feet to the opposite side of the house...)
