Warning to Parents in Selden/Centereach Area
Just posted by someone on facebook. Too close to home for me. Warn your kids! I dont know why I have to rely on a friend of a friend of a friend to hear about this....
WARNING to all parents!! My friend's nephew was almost abducted today by a man in a black pick up in Selden right off of Blue Point road. He was two house away from home walking home from the bus stop. The man asked him to help him find his dog, when he said no, the man grabbed his shoulder, he kicked the guy and ran to his house! He is almost 12!! Tell your kids! Apparently this also happened on Bicycle Path in Selden and last week with a man in a white pick up near Eastwood Blvd in Centereach. Please let everyone know.

It is so upsetting how many times this happens. It's so much more often than we think and it never makes the news. It drives me crazy that we all have to rely on word of mouth and we don't get public notices.

I've seen this posted a few time on FB. Does anyone know if the police were contacted? Just wondering why this hasn't been reported on the news! Is certainly should be!

I saw this on FB, and have seen it for other towns recently too. The thing that I don't understand is the when I seeit on FB, for this instance, the cars change, the roads change..it kind of annoying. I would like to know exact details, but everyone's post is different.
I think you can call the precinct, and they willl tell you the truth.

The news won't broadcast this type of story. It happens everyday all over the place. The police are usually called, and the school notifies the parents. At least that is how it works in my school district.
