wanted to punch my aunt in her face

okay so my aunt in ohio is kinda like the next in line to a mom for me since mine is passed away.
i told her i was pg this past week....and she asked how i was feeling and i said ..oh boy just exhausted ( i am 9 almost 10 weeks)

and she said " oh stop you are joking"

i said um nooo just veryyy tired..

and she said " wow i have never heard of that before...everyone i have ever known has has been fine and on the go and not tired...maybe you need to eat better...are you still overweight?"

Some people need to just keep their mouths shut! The last thing a preggo needs is rude comments.

If it's any consolation, I was completely EXHAUSTED my first trimester. And the more people I talk to had a similar experience, so I'm not sure what they're smoking in Ohio.

I'm sorry she said that to you! I would be annoyed too. You definitely have every right to be exhausted! I was like that the whole 1st trimester and now again in the 3rd!

I don't know anyone who was not AT LEAST a little tired in the 1st tri. Sorry she said that to you.

OMG!!!

Tell her, it's called progesterone, it's a hormone released in pregnancy and it makes you sleepy!!!! Also, tell her that when she experiences menopause induced insomnia, she will probably go on a progesterone supplement!

weird - being tired is super common..

every symptom I have my mom thinks its something wrong - she doesn't remember feeling any of the ways I feel when pregnant with me..

I'm 10 weeks and want to go to bed by 7pm cause I just have nothing left in me...Im completely exhausted...I'd be pizzed too

That is so ridiculous! Any one of us can tell you that it is completely normal and to be expected that you would be tired! Does she have any kids? Has she ever been pregnant? If so she should jog her memory!
