Walt Whitman Mall Santa ?
If I take the kids to see Santa ...can they just visit with him or do you have to let them take a picture then do you have to buy it?

U don't have to buy anything.
FWIW, the Santa there is not friendly at all. He didn't say as much as hello, let alone Merry Christmas, when we were there yesterday. Not one word was said.

FWIW, the Santa there is not friendly at all. He didn't say as much as hello, let alone Merry Christmas, when we were there yesterday. Not one word was said.
Awwwhh..Mean Santa!!
I got upset at the Smithhaven mall Santa.. The tall one. He wouldnt let DD play with his beard. I thought it would look adorable in the photo but he kept saying No you cant pull my beard!!.. Ok she wasnt pulling Santa just petting!! haha!!

I was going to say that he was really sweet with Charlie. Last year when she freaked out on hisnlap, he told me to come back and take more pictures. This year we've been to visit him 3x - she's a little Santa obsessed this year! - and he's been nothing but super sweet & friendly.

Must of caught him on a good day because he was very nice with my kids. You're under no obligation to buy anything. I wasn't crazy about the pics they took and it was Santa (lol) that told me not to worry and to come back another day when the kids were in the mood. The girls there taking the pics were extremely nice as well. I would go first thing when they open at 11 to just see him and say hello. For the heck of it if you're kids are in the mood to pose for pics let them take it and just tell them you need to think about it. They will store your pics up until christmas day.

We went today and he was great with my DS who is only 10 weeks old.
Since DS was sleeping we asked Santa to hold him and pretend he was sleeping with him 
The staff was really patient also.

I *think*....could be wrong..but I *think* his beard is real.

I actually thought the same thing! DS was barely 4 months old and I was trying to adjust the way he was sitting and I was talking to santa and he didn't say a word. Just looked at me like I was bothering him 
It was before Thanksgiving during the day so we were the only ones there. It's not like he had a huge line and was holding it up.
