Make sure you bring a small lamp and check every electrical outlet and switch on and off every light.
Fully open and close all doors and windows.
Check all locks.
Run the water and flush the toilet at the same time testing for water pressure.

And check the appliances. We found out our washing machine didn't work the week after we moved in. Had never thought to check things like that, since the owner always seemed to be doing laundry when we were looking at the house.
