Wait, the graco nautilus 3 in 1 car seat is forward facing only????

We bought this for my in laws over the weekend at buy buy baby (they are still using the infant seat right now - but only drive a short distance a few days a week with DD) and the guy at the store basically sold me on the nautilus saying it can go rear facing, harness until 65 lbs, goes up to 100, etc. We were going to have them start using it this week, but now we're going to have to return it??

B/c of that other car seat thread with the video, I looked up the britax roundabout that's in DH's car and the myride65 that's in my car to see the rear facing weight limits and then decided to look at the nautilus. I'm seeing it only goes front facing and starts at 20 lbs??? I told the guy I had a 10 month old and I wanted her rear facing until 2 yrs old.

Ugh i'm so mad... buy buy baby is kinda far for us and now we're going to have to go back this weekend. Chat Icon

If it is a front facing seat only, then it would start at 20lbs since the law now says, 1 year and at least 20lbs. I would return the seat and try to find the salesperson who sold it to you. Tell him, "Thanks so much for wasting my time, douche!" Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Here is the Amazon.com Product Description for the Nautilus:
"Once your child outgrows her rear-facing infant car seat, she's still required ride in a car seat or a booster for several more years to come. So rather than investing in a succession of seats and boosters, try the Graco Nautilus 3-in 1 Toddler Car Seat, the only forward-facing car seat your child will need. Its five-point harness accommodates children up to 65 pounds, and its convertible booster/backless booster can hold children up to 100 pounds in weight--longer than most other convertible car seats."

Here is a Britax Roundabout that is rear facing until 35 lbs. and similarly priced to the Graco Nautilus. Chat Icon

Ugh i'm so ****** I spent like 20 mins with the guy while DH waited in the car since DD was sleeping. I was debating between the roudabout 50, myride65 or the nautilus and the guy totally was selling the nautilus and sold me on it! Too bad it was wrong information!!! Should've just stuck with one of the other two since we have both of those already. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
