Vomiting at 36 weeks?
So I will be 36 weeks in 3 days--I have been having the WORST heartburn the whole pregnancy-last night, it was so bad! I had to throw up, and I did a couple of times!!! So here is my ?, I took my antibiotic (for UTI) with my prenatal right before bed--do u think this could of caused me getting sick?? do u think I hurt the baby by throwing up?? I didnt strain myself :(

i went to the dr a few weeks ago for a uti and the medicine they gave me, made me so sick, i took it and within a few hours later i was sick. My Dr said if was an reaction to the medicine

yes it was macrobid, but mine happened to me on the 1st dose that i took. I was sick all that night then woke up with the worst heartburn ever. I guess from the acid of throwing up. Hope you are feeling better

thats what happened to me!!! up all night, had to stay home from work, I only have a day left!!!

My heartburn has been so bad that it causes me to throw up a few times a week. My OB gave me a script for pepcid so I'm going to try it - it isn't horrible everyday - just most days.
You won't do any harm to the baby but it is miserable for you! Why don't you talk to your OB about a stronger heartburn medication?

The heartburn is the worst--I have taken Tums everyday for almost my whole pregnancy!!! I have tried pepcid but it didnt work--when I asked about stronger medicine, he recommended me to a GI doctor--dont want to start going this late in the pregnancy--guess I just have to suck it up!!!
I HOPE it goes away when the baby comes!!! How many weeks r u?
