Viking School Rave
DH and I went away to Atlantic City for our anniversary last weekend and stumbled upon a new Viking School that opened up in Harrah's Resort. The school just opened up 2 months ago. I convinced DH to try one of their classes with me and we loved it!
It was a great way to spend the afternoon together (especially if you're not into casinos) and we walked away learning how to grill some excellent seafood. The instructors were really nice and it was not intimidating at all. I finally learned some proper knife skills in the process to mince/chop things the way the chefs do on the Food Network 
The recipes we tried and got to take home with us were absolutely delicious and easy to make. Aside from having one know-it-all in my cooking group, it was a good way to meet other foodies. Oh, and best of all, they handle all the clean-up while you enjoy the food you make! Did I mention you get to keep the Viking apron they give you during class?

I've taken 2 baking classes at the one in Garden City and was very happy with both!!!

DH and I took a class at the Garden City location 2 years ago, and to this day we still use the techniques and recipes from that class... the roast chicken is the best we ever had!
