Videocamera Recommendation
I want to buy a videocamera but don't really know what I should get. Any recommendations? I really just want to capture holidays, birthdays, maybe do a little editing, and thats about it. Nothing way to fancy, but something good enough that wont be obsolete in a few years.

Re: Videocamera Recommendation
I know nothing about them I had my uncle come with me to get one and I got a simple one that has the side view LCD screen and runs on those little tapes I didn't want anything fancy just something very simple to use and I love it I will have to look at it later on to let you know what brand it is when I get home I can sign on and look and get back to you on this

Re: Videocamera Recommendation
For video cameras I suggest sony. We have one that records right on a mini dvd. This dvd fits into your dvd player. The camera also takes still shots.

WE have a sony and it works great i would suggest getting one that recorded right on to a dvd ours is a pain to hook up to the tv and make a copy of it. I would also wish it took still photos too

So those mini dvds can be put into a regular sized dvd without some attachment to make it a regular size DVD? That is really what I'm most confused about...what type of recording thingy to get.
